Massive Crater Discovered Under Greenland Ice

NASA Goddard Published on Nov 14, 2018 In a remote area of northwest Greenland, an international team of scientists has made a stunning discovery, buried beneath a kilometer of ice. It’s a meteor impact crater, 300 meters deep and bigger than Paris or the Beltway around Washington, DC. It is one of the 25 largest known impact craters on Earth, […]

Reposted from GeoCosmicRex.com Randall Carlson was interviewed for this article, and the author made multiple errors in her processing of the topics he was introducing. In the same issue was an article authored by regular contributor, geologist Robert Schoch, that seemed to refute Randall’s ideas without giving him an opportunity to counter. Randall has written a response so that it […]

12,800 years ago, Earth was struck by a disintegrating comet, setting off global firestorms

Via Knowridge.com March 17, 2018 According to modern theories of geological evolution, the last major ice age (known as the Pliocene-Quaternary glaciation) began about 2.58 million years ago during the late Pliocene Epoch. Since then, the world has experienced several glacial and interglacial periods, and has been in an inter-glacial period (where the ice sheets have been retreating) ever since […]

Via CosmicTusk.com ABSTRACT “Intersection with the debris of a large (50-100 km) short-period comet during the Upper Palaeolithic provides a satisfactory explanation for the catastrophe of celestial origin which has been postulated to have occurred around 12900 BP, and which pre-saged a return to ice age conditions of duration 1300 years. The Taurid Complex appears to be the debris of […]

The Great Debate; Ancient Earth Catastrophes And The “Atlantis” Legend

The Great Debate; Ancient Earth Catastrophes And The “Atlantis” Legend

Every culture on the planet has an oral history of the flooding of the planet; some catastrophic event that changed human existence and generated legends such as Noah’s Ark. Conventional thinking suggests that a series of glacial dams broke at times during the ice age, causing massive releases of water. Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson have developed a more radical theory; that strikes from pieces of a comet or asteroids crashed into the North American ice sheet, blowing it apart and causing huge, mega-events that happened far faster than geologists will admit.

Muck, Mammoths and Extinctions: was Alaska the scene of a giant cataclysm at the end of the Ice Age?

“Like many of his colleagues in universities around the world today, Heinrich appears to be ideologically committed to the uniformitarian notion of slow, gradual geological changes – so it’s no surprise that he rejects and seeks to ‘debunk’ catastrophist explanations.” – Graham Hancock

Why science should cherish its rebels. New article from Graham Hancock

There is fierce disagreement amongst mainstream scientists – a disagreement that also divides alternative researchers – around what happened to the Earth, and to humanity, in the closing millennia of the last Ice Age between 12,800 and 11,600 years ago. Marked by intense cold, global floods and extinctions of animal species, this 1200-year interval is known to geologists as the Younger Dryas. Many of the leading investigators are convinced the agent of the mysterious earth changes, and of the extinctions, was a comet that the struck the North American ice cap with globally cataclysmic effects.

Cycles of Global Change – Part 2

I wrote last month about the enormous changes that engulfed the Earth at the close of the last great ice age. I discussed the “double whammy” that knocked the planet out of the grip of glacial cold and ushered in the period of interglacial warmth called the Holocene, the name given to the present geological epoch. I stated that I […]
