Samson puts a riddle to the Thirty Companions during the Seven Days of a feast: Can you declare the meaning of this riddle?
The riddle is based on events in his trip down to Timnath to see a young woman, in which he kills a young Lion, and then later returns to find Bees and Honey in the carcass.
The answer, I believe, involves the motions of the heavenly actors: the Sun and in this case the zodiac stars. But it goes much deeper than that!
The world’s ancient myths, scriptures and sacred stories can be shown to be built upon a common system of celestial metaphor. This video explores some of the evidence to support that assertion, and some of the possible reasons that the ancient wisdom of the world is given to us in this manner.
